The Villa Mathis offers treatments and massages using traditional Balinese ancestral methods : Jamu cures. This technique consists of treatments using natural herbs without any chemical additives, the formulas for which have been passed on from generation to generation. This ancient tradition made its appearance long before modern pharmacology reached Indonesia; some of the formulas are hundreds of years old and are still used today (80% of the Indonesian population are using Jamu cures).
